Using examples from a range of industries we explore the main social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube.
We also look at the phenomenon of influencer marketing as well as content (or inbound) marketing techniques
Finally we examine Facebook Messenger as a tool for enhanced customer service

Underpinning much of a company’s digital marketing efforts is their website. We cover what is expected of a website today, how to evaluate websites for usability and provide a website audit checklist.
We also cover writing for the web and the art of landing page design (an element that overlaps strongly with the sections on email marketing and social media)
- Web analytics and metrics
This section looks at measurement including Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, YouTube Analytics and the commercial tools that are available
- The future of digital
Trends in digital and social media marketing including voice search, AR, VR, Blockchain and the growing dominance of video including a look at Facebook Watch
- Course review and handy tools
A chance to reflect on the content covered on the course and also an introduction to a range of handing tools and apps to help with digital marketing
