I’ve used Facebook’s embed functionality many time over the years.
Here’s an example of a link post embed:
Embedding posts are particularly useful for link share posts where you have curated content from another online source but want to additionally use it on your website. Of course a straight copy and paste job would be violating copyright, but you are allowed to embed your Facebook link post on your site. They are also ideal if you have created a Facebook Live video and want to share it further, perhaps on your blog.
The visual look of these embeds is a little different for video and you have more options to consider. You can choose to show the entire post including your copy and the likes and comments fields or just the bare minimum. Here’s the basic option:

Clicking the Advanced button gets you some additional options and further explains how you can tweak the html code if required.
How to embed a Facebook post on your website
This is really simple and is similar to the way you embed YouTube videos too.
Go to the post you want to embed (in the example below I’m embedding a video post).
Click the down arrow in the top right corner and the embed code will appear.
Copy and past that into your website. Change the pixel width in the code as you need to.
